The
weather is looking good for the first part trip so Janet will be able to get
some quality training time in when we arrive.
Race day looks a little iffy, but she will swim early morning so hopefully
the storm will be later in the day.
The really good new is: If the wind does stay at a steady 10-15 mph, the bug population on
this tropical paradise should remain grounded! There would be nothing worst for me than swatting bugs all morning in a tire swing waiting for her finish.
Now back
to the important stuff! Which hat should
I take this trip? Your opinion
matters. As you can tell two have gone before - gotta love salt water and sweat!
The big one allows the breeze
to blow through and keeps the sun off my nose and ears, but man is it a pain in
the butt to carry. The ball caps win
hands down for transportability. However one's ears can get pretty red if you do not
coat them in goop.
The
other critical item are the flip-flops - a must to check before departure! Definitely
two pair in case you have a blow out. One must verify that both pair of flip-flops are properly equipped with the needed bottle opener. Me I like a dress pair and beach pair. Life is good! This item is checked off!
BTW - The openers drive TSA nuts! Not that I am one those people who enjoys poking the monkey.

Will say a little prayer for nice swimming weather for Janet!
ReplyDeleteI'm cracking up that you have a bottle opener in your flip flops!
Sorry, but I vote for the 'pain in the butt to carry' middle hat. :) Better that then a sunburn! Happy Friday!
I mean THAN a sunburn. :)
Deleteahh i forgot
Deletebottle openers on flip-flops are as important as bells on bicycles!
man cannot survive without either
Far be it from me to comment on Then and Than :-)
ReplyDeletei am strong supporter of e.e. cummings writing style in that i am not real big on the grammar part as you probably already realize and the period comma stuff is just let people know when to breath but i have kinda figured that out on my own and the one thing i like best are run on sentences (ok breathe) :-) so all is good for then or than
As for the hat I thinkin' I got two pair of flip flops why not two hats? Logic!
